- The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a significant policy change for candidates registering for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- As part of efforts to combat impersonation and examination malpractice, all candidates must now declare their current admission status, indicating whether they are already enrolled in any tertiary institution.
- This new requirement follows alarming findings from the 2025 UTME Infraction Report, which revealed that over 90% of examination offenders were already students in tertiary institutions attempting to manipulate the admission process.
