- Two officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have been arrested by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC) for allegedly using forged university certificates.
- The officers, Edwin Onyuwe and Achigili Ogoli, are accused of submitting fake statements of result from the University of Abuja to the FRSC management in an attempt to upgrade to the officer cadre.
- Their arrests followed an inquiry initiated after the university confirmed that the degree certificates presented by the officers were indeed forgeries, despite the officers' insistence on their authenticity.
