
- A college lecturer and 10 other individuals recently kidnapped by Boko Haram have appeared in a video shared by their abductors, urgently appealing to the Nigerian government for rescue.
- The captives, all Christians from Yobe State, also called on the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to intervene and help secure their freedom.
- In the one-and-a-half-minute video, one of the abductees, Bitrus Bwala, identified himself as a principal lecturer at the College of Education Gashua in Yobe State.
