
- The suspended Chairman of the Ambrose Alli University (AAU) chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Professor Monday Igbafen, has accused the university’s Vice Chancellor, Ignatius Onimawo, of fraud involving N5.5 billion in Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) and NEEDS Assessment intervention funds.
- Professor Igbafen made these accusations while addressing the press, explaining the reasons behind his suspension from the institution.
- It was previously reported that a university disciplinary panel found Igbafen guilty of sexual misconduct, specifically for allegedly threatening students with academic repercussions in exchange for sexual favours.
