EKSU SUG Directs Students to Report Incidents Immediately

If you’re an Ekiti State University student, the SUG wants you to know: report any incident, harassment, or security concern straight to the SUG President and Executive Council first. This clear protocol exists to protect your welfare and ensure fast, coordinated action. Why report to the SUG President and Executives? Channeling complaints through the SUG leadership helps the Union to: - Properly document each incident for accountability. - Assess the situation and identify urgent risks. - Intervene effectively and escalate to authorities if needed. - Protect student rights and maintain campus peace. Filing issues through the SUG strengthens collective representation—unreported problems are harder to solve and limit the Union’s ability to act. How to report 1. Act promptly: note the time, place, and people involved. 2. Provide clear facts: short statements, witnesses, and any photos or screenshots help. 3. Use official SUG channels only: report to the SUG President and the Executive Council first—avoid public posts that may complicate responses. 4. Follow up: ask for a reference number or confirmation so your case is tracked. Your report matters. By using the official SUG channels you increase the chance of fair, timely resolution and help keep campus safe for everyone.
