- In a recent statement, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has come out in strong support of Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB), amidst calls for his resignation from the South East caucus of the House of Representatives and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).
- These groups have demanded his resignation following glitches that occurred during the 2025 JAMB examinations in various parts of Nigeria.
- MURIC has labeled these calls as "callous, ridiculous, and unpatriotic," arguing that they reflect a narrow-minded and tribalistic perspective.
