
- The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced a N250 billion initiative to tackle the chronic accommodation crisis in tertiary institutions across the country.
- The announcement was made by the Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, during the inauguration of board members and principal officers of newly established institutions in Abuja.
- Government’s Plan to Expand Student Housing Under the new initiative, the government will allocate approximately N2 billion to each of at least 50 institutions to deliver a minimum of 500 bed spaces per campus.
