- AIn a significant development, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has put a hold on the release of more than 40,000 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.
- This decision stems from the fact that many candidates whose results are being withheld are under the age of 16, which is the minimum age stipulated for university admission in Nigeria.
- Currently, a legal dispute is underway to determine whether students below this age should even be allowed to sit for the JAMB examination in the first place.
